About
Arcade is an artist-driven commercial gallery developing a working model for how cultural and creative spaces can operate as civic infrastructure. It brings culture, community, and economy into closer alignment; not at scale, but in ways that are immediate, visible, and shared.
Through exhibitions, live events, hospitality and locally embedded projects, we have learned that engagement often begins sideways, through reflection, imagination, and shared experience.
Founded in London in 2007, Arcade has operated as a Community Interest Company since 2021: a model that reinvests culture back into the various communities that sustain it.
Our exhibitions present artists whose practices engage with research, experimentation and critical dialogue, many of whom are represented internationally in museums and institutions. Our programme creates space for their ambitious work to be encountered in an open and conversational setting.
Our kitchen is the social glue of the project. Food brings people together; art helps us imagine what we might build next.
