Overview
Newly commissioned contemporary art works from Lucy + Jorge Orta have been inspired by an expedition into the Peruvian rainforest, one of the most biodiverse areas on the planet. The works, including sculpture, photography and video, highlight the importance of the natural world and examine the value of nature. Amazonia is part of the worldwide celebrations of the International Year of Biodiversity 2010. The diversity of life on Earth is crucial for human well-being and now is the time to act to preserve it.
