Alan Charlton in Conversation with Rose Davey

5 Jun 2026 3.30-4.30pm

Overview

Join us for a conversation between Alan Charlton and Rose Davey on the occasion of Charlton's exhibition.

Alan Charlton paints entirely monochrome grey paintings. His strictly proportioned works explore the relationship between pictorial body and architecture. Grey, a colour with few associations, allows for little emotional response beyond the direct encounter between painting and viewer.

Rose Davey is an artist and writer living in London. Alongside her artistic practice, Davey lectures at Slade School of Fine Art and has contributed to numerous symposiums. Davey is the Founder and Director of Corner7, a project space in Camden showing a range of artists and host to various talks, workshops and events.
