Wilma Woolf: Temple of Safety | Artist Introduction & Panel Discussion
25 Nov 2025 6-8pm
Temple of Safety, the latest project by artist Wilma Woolf, centres on sixteen newly drafted ‘articles’ that define a person's emotional and physical rights within a relationship.
Born out of the artist's commemorational installation, Domestic (2020), which documented all the women killed by male violence in the UK over an eight-year period, these articles are the result of two years of research into the UN Declaration of Human Rights and have since been ratified by experts in the field of domestic abuse.
On 25th November, International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, Richard Saltoun Gallery will host an artist introduction and panel discussion, in support of Woolf's work. The panel will feature Carrie Scott and be chaired by Hettie Judah, with donations from the evening supporting Staffordshire Women’s Aid.
