Join artist Chantal Joffe and art historian Katy Hessel in conversation at the National Portrait Gallery on the occasion of Frieze 2025.
At this special event, chaired by the Gallery’s Curatorial and Collections Director, Dr Flavia Frigeri, the pair will discuss Chantal’s portraits of Katy, sharing insights and revealing the realities of both painting and sitting for a portrait. Uniting the perspectives of the artist and sitter, the conversation will consider their relationship, as well as how they’ve influenced each other’s work more broadly.
