Overview
A landmark two-part exhibition curated by Maudji Mendel of RAW (Rediscovering Art by Women), this show spans a century of artistic engagement with fetish, fantasy, and desire — from Max Klinger, Meret Oppenheim and Juliana Seraphim to Helen Chadwick, Penny Slinger, Ajamu X, Sin Wai Kin and emerging voices Anna Sampson and Siomha Harrington.
Across painting, photography, sculpture and moving image, Unveiled Desires situates Surrealism as a site of liberation, subversion and erotic imagination, revealing its radical afterlives through feminist and queer perspectives.
