Overview
Sprüth Magers presents ‘Seriously.’, a group exhibition curated by Nana Bahlmann, bringing together over one hundred conceptual photographs, prints, and selected films from the 1960s to today. With sharp wit and playful irreverence, the works expose the absurdities of visual culture through strategies such as masquerade, slapstick, surreal juxtapositions, and staged scenarios. Featuring artists including John Baldessari, Cindy Sherman, Peter Fischli and David Weiss, and Rosemarie Trockel, the exhibition invites viewers to reconsider how images shape perception through humour, satire, and subversion.
