The Royal Institute of Oil Painters presents the ROI Annual Exhibition 2025.
The ROI is the only major national art society that is devoted exclusively to the art of oil painting, and it is this fact that gives its annual exhibitions their unique place in the London art scene.
This year's exhibition will feature over 300 works by elected members of the Institute, representing many of the nation's top oil painters, alongside talented artists selected from an international open submission. Spanning a wide variety of subjects, from landscapes and cityscapes, portraits and figures, to still lifes and interiors, the exhibition is the best place to see and buy contemporary oil paintings.
Works on a Theme: HOME
Expect a special and varied display on the theme of ‘HOME’. The ROI Themed Painting Prize, worth £500 will be presented to the best interpretation.
Young Artist Awards
To support young artistic talent, the Royal Institute of Oil Painters and Winsor & Newton present the Young Artist Awards: £1,000, £600, and £400 worth of art materials awarded to three artists aged 30 or under who, in the opinion of the judges, demonstrate both creativity and talent in their use of the 'oil colour medium'.
Events Programme
A series of events will accompany the exhibition, including the ever-popular ROI Art Event Evening and ROI Paint Live Challenge. The Art Event Evening invites artists to paint from models alongside ROI members 'after hours', while Paint Live offers a day-long competition to create a painting within a half mile of Mall Galleries.
