Overview
Saatchi Yates showcases debut solo exhibition by Spanish artist Elena Garrigolas, featuring new works inspired by dreamscapes, internet culture, and personal experiences. Garrigolas confronts her religious upbringing and body image struggles through surreal self-portraits and satirical scenes. Influenced by Goya and contemporary memes, her art explores dark themes privately, using humor as a defense mechanism. She embraces the internet's strange and ambiguous nature, seeking solace and healing through her creative practice.
