Overview
The ICA is pleased to announce a solo exhibition with British artist Nathaniel Mellors. In recent years, Mellors has developed an experimental practice in which video, sculpture, performance and critical writing are combined. The complex relationship between language and power is a recurring theme in his multi-faceted body of work, typically manifesting itself in absurdist, humorous narratives which reveal a penchant for satire and the grotesque. For the ICA, Mellors will be presenting episodes 1, 2, and 4 from his new series, Ourhouse (2010) alongside the animatronic sculpture, Hippy Dialectics (2010).
