Chisenhale Gallery presents The Ringing World, a newly commissioned performance by artist and multi-instrumentalist Sarahsson. The performance will journey through resonant sonic frequencies across bodies, materials and space. Travelling between oil silos in Sweden and ancient geological formations in Dartmoor, Sarahsson will invoke diverse locations and materials, drawing tethers between them through a range of experimental instruments and sonic techniques. Layering sounds from earth magnets, a stone harp, metal resonators, a French horn and the human voice, Sarahsson’s site responsive performance will summon a vibrational orchestra to produce reflections on the invisible currents, connections, and transformations that continually flow within and around us.
