Harcourt Road: Outdoor Painting at Crookes Valley Park - FREE EVENT

29 Apr 2023 1-4pm

Bloc Projects
Sheffield S1 4RB

Overview

As part of their project Harcourt Road that explores the stories of two roads of the same name in Sheffield and Hong Kong, C&G Artpartment (Clara Cheung and Gum Cheng) will be leading a day of painting fun at Crookes Valley Park. Located in the vicinity of Harcourt Road, the artists will use this opportunity to introduce the road to participants and passers-by of the day's event. Open to anyone who is curious about local stories, migration histories and enjoys painting (at all levels).

Bloc Projects and the artists will bring canvases, paints and brushes.

A few things to note:

- Meet for 1pm at the junction of Crookes Valley Road and Harcourt Road. One of the park entrances is there.
- Dress appropriately for the weather.
- Bring along some snacks and a bottle of water (some of the water will be used for mixing paints. We'll bring the cups).
- Our raincheck will be the nearby Weston Park Museum. We will inform participants by email if there is a need to change our meeting point.
