Harcourt Road is an expansive worldmaking project by artist duo Clara Cheung and Gum Cheng (C&G).
Originally from Hong Kong (HK), the artists Cheung and Gum Cheng (C&G) relocated to Sheffield in 2021 when new security laws decreed by the Chinese Communist Party forced many activists out of the city. This long-term project project will continue in different public spaces over the next year with a travelling archive, a mobile museum and an engaging series of events. We are kicking off with some pop-in gatherings led by Clara and Gum for anyone who likes to make things and wants to learn about the UK’s colonial history.
