FTHo is taking part in the first Peckham Artist Moving Image. Visit http://www.pami.org.uk Recent video works form Helen Benigson,Lulu Li, Jimmy Merris, Brenna Murphy, Emma Sheridan and Richard Sides. Following our recent screening of works by Motoharu Jonouchi, this exhibition presents six works that resonate with its layered treatment of image and sound. Motoharu Jonouchi's 1968 film Gewaltopia Trailer brought together footage from his previous work with scenes from 1920s and 1930s black and white cinema. The works in the exhibition all share a manipulation of moving image that is similar to Jonouchi's. Montage and repetition are used to mix found material with new footage to make a coherent whole, rather than a cut-up experience.
