Overview

This one-night performance brings together a sculptural and aural assemblage by Haroon Mirza and a spoken-word performance of unrealised Ian Curtis songs by Richard ‘Kid’ Strange within a stage format borrowed from Samuel Beckett’s Krapp’s Last Tape. Haroon Mirza (b. 1977) lives and works in Sheffield. Upcoming and recent solo exhibitions include VIVID, Birmingham; Anthemoessa, Mother’s Tankstation, Dublin (both 2010) and A-Foundation, Liverpool (2009). Upcoming and recent group exhibitions include The British Art Show, Nottingham Contemporary & touring; For the Birds, Site Gallery, Sheffield; Art Sheffield 10 (all 2010); The Sheffield Pavilion, 11th Istanbul Biennale; Boule to Braid, Lisson Gallery, London (both 2009).
