Moor Mother, Alpha Maid, Jay Bernard, Remi Graves and Imani Mason Jordan
Imani Mason Jordan will convene with fellow poets and musicians Moor Mother, Alpha Maid, Jay Bernard and Remi Graves for a live and improvisational group reading and collective sounding-out of the poem ‘Nomenclature for the Time Being’ by Dionne Brand.
Moor Mother is the poet, musician and Afrofuturist thinker Camae Ayewa, whose work moves across noise, free jazz, spoken word and Black quantum futurism.
Alpha Maid is a musician whose practice is anchored in guitar and voice, spanning noise, post-punk and improvised song.
Jay Bernard is a poet, writer and filmmaker whose practice moves between lyric, queer history and the archive.
Remi Graves is a poet and drummer based in London, interested in the interrelation of sound and text.
