We are delighted to share that the BFAMI 2026 Art Auction is now live, with a preview week hosted at Phillips, London (30 January – 5 February). This year, we’re proud to present works by Deborah Azzopardi and Cristina Schek: two artists with distinct visual languages and a vivid sense of presence.
Deborah Azzopardi is celebrated for distinctive, playful images that translate relationships, seductions and fantasies into bold, relatable scenes. Her work welcomes the viewer without preconceptions, balancing humour and heat through graphic line, fearless colour, and a pop-inflected energy charged with feminine perspective.

Cristina Schek is a Transylvanian Surrealist artist living in London who describes herself as “photo-sensitive”. Drawing on literature, cinema, and the visual language of Surrealists and Old Masters, she creates conceptual works that explore identity and the nature of representation. The Ceiling In The Sky, presented in this auction, was the winning work of the W4th Plinth Public Art Project in Chiswick, later realised as a monumental 4 × 4 m outdoor artwork curated by Abundance London and unveiled by Dame Siân Phillips in 2023.
