Overview

Lowell Alpin’s debut solo exhibition at 67 York Street Gallery invites viewers to explore the poetic transformation of the mundane. Inspired by Bali, Indonesia, this collection reflects a journey of self-discovery, where Alpin pushes boundaries with experimental forms, coral effects on clay, and a natural contemporary aesthetic that feels timeless. The exhibition carries a message of reinvention, encouraging both artist and beholder to look deeper into the mysteries within ourselves. Alpin’s work is deeply influenced by music—holistic sounds, jazz, soul, and classical—creating a rhythmic foundation that roots each piece in a unique narrative. As he shifts between sculptures, allowing light and atmosphere to guide his process, the art unfolds with a sense of constant evolution, where every imperfection tells a story.
