Mémoires des corps: Artist performance

15 Nov 2025 5.30-6pm

Gasworks
London SE11 5RH

Overview

As part of her solo exhibition at Gasworks, Marie-Claire Messouma Manlanbien returns to present a special performance devised for our space. Her performance takes the form of a ritual that combines sound, words, textiles and various artefacts. Using stringed instruments, and crystal singing bowls tuned to resonate with the seven chakras of the body, the performance further develops Marie-Claire’s work around the bonds that humans form with their environment.

This event is free to attend, but booking is recommended via Eventbrite. Seating will be provided, please email [email protected] for any access requirements.

This performance is programmed in collaboration Ancestral Knowledges: My Grandmother is my school at Tate Modern. Another performance will take place on 16 November 2025.
It is part of London Art+Climate Week, presented by Gallery Climate Coalition and gowithYamo.
