Cynthia Corbett Gallery at Art Miami 2025
Celebrating 35 Years of Art Miami and 16 Years of Young Masters
As Art Miami celebrates its landmark 35th edition, Cynthia Corbett Gallery marks 16 years of Young Masters, a not-for-profit initiative championing artists who bridge the past and the present through fresh contemporary voices. This year’s presentation brings together a stellar international line-up of gallery and Young Masters artists whose practices span continents, media and generations, unified by a shared spirit of innovation and storytelling.
From vibrant geometry to cinematic figuration, the gallery’s booth celebrates diversity of vision. Andy Burgess’s mid-century-inspired cityscapes capture architectural rhythm and nostalgia in vivid colour, while Deborah Azzopardi’s iconic Pop compositions bring wit and sensuality to the everyday. Margo Selby, master of textile abstraction, weaves colour and form into exquisite sculptural harmony, and Klari Reis transforms the microscopic world into luminous resin paintings that dance with light and life.
This year also marks a powerful presence for Young Masters artists, reflecting the initiative’s global reach. Yinka Shonibare CBE RA continues to explore post-colonial identity and cultural hybridity through bold conceptual storytelling, while Ghost of a Dream (USA), winners of the inaugural Young Masters Art Prize, present works made from the fragments of collective dreams and cultural desire. Lottie Davies, winner of the 2012 prize, brings her cinematic photographic narratives to Miami, weaving memory and myth into powerful visual allegories.
From Africa to Asia, from Europe to the UK, the Young Masters story continues to unfold. Giggs Kgole (South Africa) merges traditional technique and digital innovation to reimagine African identity, while Fabiano Parisi (Italy), a two-time finalist, captures forgotten architecture with poetic light and symmetry. Amy Hughes, finalist for the Young Masters Maylis Grand Ceramics Prize (2014), brings her expressive reinterpretations of historical ceramics to the fair; Charles Moxon, debuting with Young Masters, bridges Old Master craftsmanship and contemporary realism; and SaeRi Seo, winner of the Emerging Woman Artist Award (2023), transforms the traditions of Korean moon jars into contemporary meditations on trauma and renewal.
Completing the presentation Elaine Woo MacGregor, Susanne Kamps, Freya Bramble-Carter and Cristina Schek, each expand the gallery’s vision of contemporary art through their singular voices, from cross-cultural painting to expressive figuration, spiritual ceramics and surrealism. Together, they embody the essence of Cynthia Corbett Gallery’s curatorial mission: to champion dialogue between tradition and transformation, beauty and thought.
As we celebrate this milestone year, our presentation at Art Miami 2025 stands as a tribute to creativity without borders, where heritage and innovation meet under the Miami light.
We warmly invite you to visit us at Stand #AM100 within the Art Miami Pavilion, located at the prestigious One Herald Plaza on Biscayne Bay (NE 14th Street & Biscayne Bay, Miami, FL 33132).
