Housekeeper is the latest in a long line of exhibitions by Cathie Pilkington that have been housed by historic residences turned public museums. Through Pilkington’s site-responsive installations, visitors are encouraged to become involved in aspects of the museum’s collections, settings and trappings that are otherwise muted. Join us for an in-conversation between Cathie Pilkington and Hettie Judah, who wrote the text for her exhibition Weird Horses of 2023 at Karsten Schubert London, on Pilkington’s experience of working with a household’s tricky histories
