Curator’s Talk: Richard Calvocoressi in Conversation with Sir Nicholas Serota
13 Nov 2025 6.30-7.30pm

Join us at Pitzhanger Manor & Gallery for a special Curator’s Talk with Richard Calvocoressi and Sir Nicholas Serota, two of the most distinguished figures in British art. Together they will reflect on the life, work, and enduring legacy of Howard Hodgkin, one of Britain’s greatest artists.
This is Calvocoressi’s first public talk on curating Howard Hodgkin: In a Public Garden, an exhibition exploring Hodgkin’s fascination with light, colour, and nature. Serota, former Director of Tate and a leading voice in modern art, brings unique insight from curating multiple major exhibitions of Hodgkin’s work.
The conversation will highlight Hodgkin’s creative journey, his deep connections with India and Impressionism, and the personal convictions that shaped his art. Don’t miss this rare opportunity to hear two renowned curators share their perspectives on a much-loved, internationally celebrated artist.
