Who's Listening To The City?: Walking and Risograph Print Workshop with Adam Shield

1 Nov 2025 10am-5pm

TACO!
London SE2 9FA

Overview

Join us for a day of walking, gathering and print-making with artist Adam Shield, and tune into the post-industrial landscape of Thamesmead. Beginning with a guided walk on the Thames River Path, we will gather materials, surface rubbings and detritus from the landscape. By listening, writing and drawing, we will create psychogeographic records of the environment.

In the afternoon, each participant will each create a two-colour risograph print from their foraged materials. Collaging visual references, writing and other gathered materials onto the Risograph scan bed, documenting our personal and subjective encounters with a place. Participants will go home with a two-colour risograph print of their making!

All workshop attendees will receive a free TACO! Print Studio Associate Membership for one year, meaning they will be able to return to use the Print Studio and receive discounts of 40% on paper, ink and masters, and 30% on Print Studio bookings.

All materials are provided, as well as a light lunch.
