Overview

A Thousand Small Stories and Belonging and Beyond explore portraiture as a space for identity, belonging, and shared experience. Eileen Perrier transforms makeshift studios into sites of social engagement, while Dianne Minnicucci's new series of work embraces the unease of being photographed through self-portraiture.

Building on these themes, join us for a hands-on workshop exploring the role of collaboration in portraiture and creative practice. Led by artist Farihah Chowdhury, this session will introduce DIY approaches to photographing people in community settings.

Attendees will be guided through a series of prompts that foster dialogue between the photographer and sitter, culminating in taking portraits that feature Shoreditch as the backdrop.

There will be a chance to view the exhibitions during the event and all materials and equipment will be provided.
