ELLIOT STEELE

Elliot Steele is an artist and printmaker, specialising in letterpress and monotype processes. With a keen eye for form and an insatiable curiosity for the interplay between letters and visuals, his work is an exploration of language and imagery.

Steele’s practice deviates away from the traditions of letterpress and typography, by manipulating single letters, words, and sentences, he crafts compositions that dance between abstraction and representation, offering viewers an individual viewpoint.

Steele has a degree in Illustration from Middlesex University, and a master’s degree in Multi-Disciplinary Printmaking from UWE Bristol. Complementing his artistic pursuits, he has shared his expertise as a Printmaking technician at Spike Print Studio, and currently serves as a freelance Printmaking tutor and art technician.
