Join us for an online talk in which artist Madi Acharya-Baskerville will discuss the ideas around her exhibition 'I Dream A Palace'. Madi will shed light on how her artistic practice informed her research, making and resultant curatorial choices in the development of the show.

Madi Acharya-Baskerville is currently presenting a solo exhibition (13 January - 14 April 2024) at The Lightbox, having undertaken an artist residency as part of the 20/20 project. Madi’s work responds to the site and grounds of Woking Palace, a former Tudor Palace on the edge of the River Wey, in Old Woking. This exhibition, Madi’s first in a public institution, combines ceramics, textiles, and found objects along with artworks made by community groups and finds from Woking Palace itself. Artworks made by Madi will be acquired by The Lightbox and will enter its collection, joining the finds from Woking Palace that inspired them in the first place.
