Overview

Sean Griffiths’s installations investigate how perception of reality is logically structured through language, acquired knowledge, illusion and bodily movement. A consistent theme in his work is the use of levitating structures and forms which create unusual relationships between object and ground and between work and viewer.

Using only paint, Griffiths creates an overwhelmingly impressive immersive installation using the architecture of the gallery as a canvas and responding to the space's position below ground level.
