Overview

This writing and drawing workshop, facilitated by Abel Shah, invites participants to sit amongst Davinia-Ann Robinson’s works in the San Mei Gallery and respond to the works.

The workshop will offer participants a series of writing and drawing prompts to mould and shape new ways of reading and experiencing Robinson’s exhibition.

As a starting point, the workshop will focus on the materiality of clay, sound, the body and gestures.

Materials will be provided.

Artist bio:

Abel Shah is an artist duo consisting of Alex Bell and Giulia Shah, both based in London. Together they construct objects, texts, images and sound, and build frameworks for dialogue and collaboration. Areas of research include language, the body, technology and the construction of knowledge/histories. Blurring notions of hierarchies and linear forms of readability is highly significant to their work.
