Overview

Despite his reputation in Brazil both as a painter and a teacher, Pasta's work has scarcely been exhibited outside of his homeland. We are extremely excited to be introducing his work to new audiences in London, and also to be publishing the first book on the artist in English. 

Pasta's practice is characterised by his comittment to the medium of painting. On one side of Pasta's production is abstraction, he makes paintings  which focus on the interaction of colour and space; however, he simulatanesouly produces representational, landscape works which depict scenes from the countryside of São Paulo State. This exhibition will bring together both abstract and landscape paintings, mixing them in the space.
