Kvetny’s paintings reveal a universe of her own making – one populated by arcane, dreamlike figures that confront the viewer with inscrutable meaning. Drawing inspiration from a widely diverse range of things from video games to Persian carpets, her paintings are so full of swirling colours and shapes that at first glance the eye struggles to resolve them into anything beyond abstraction. This profusion of intense colour and form reflects the workings of the mind in the age of hyperconnectivity.
