David Bomberg : Keep the Paint Moving
22 Apr-2 Jul 2016

'Keep the Paint Moving : David Bomberg and the Art of Radical Teaching' An exhibition exploring renowned 20th century British artist, David Bomberg, as a radical teacher through works by Bomberg and the Borough Group, as well as archive materials and recordings. Whilst at Borough Polytechnic, from 1946 to 1953, Bomberg forged a path as a radical teacher, who ignored stylistic convention, curriculums and examinations in favour of an approach that allowed artists to find their own individual vision. In so doing, he carved a role for himself as an outsider, at the same time as becoming, and remaining, a lasting influence on a generation of artists.
