‘London Calling’ is Dean Waite’s first solo show. Born and raised in Islington, North London and a graduate of Central St. Martins, Dean Waite uses a contemporary photorealist style to create intricate, illustrative work. Blending a British aesthetic with reference to pop and mod culture; his work makes the familiar exotic and reinterprets iconic imagery of the 1960s through to present times. The artist mixes mediums, with a focus on ink drawing and graphite.
