This new site specific work will deal with humans’ historical desire to fly. Playing on mythological narratives, real technological attempts, sleight of hand and mechanical shortfalls, it examines utopian dreams of becoming airborne and the urge to believe. Performance by Music Off Canvas: 6.30pm, 24 July (tickets £5) Levitating 'Saint' Christina the Astonishing is re-appropriated as a feminist trickster whose character will be channelled by three classically trained musicians in a specially devised performance.
