Haunch Of Venison, New Bond Street
London W1S 1ST

Overview

Haunch of Venison presents an exhibition of new works by Brooklyn based artist Rina Banerjee. This exhibition includes panel paintings, sculpture, works on paper and wall based sculptures. Drawing on the experience of moving from India to the UK as a child and finally settling in America, Banerjee’s work is made of various types of cheap manufactured goods, sourced in junk shops and jumble sales, each acting as a cultural signifier to the place or area they are found. She presents them in intricate assemblages of varied objects, fusing cultures and clashing identities, creating a visual representation of a modern day diasporic experience.
