Overview
GALERIE8 is pleased to present Soft Machine, the first UK solo exhibition of Polish-Canadian artist Jarek Piotrowski. Drawing themes from the subversive William S. Burroughs novel The Soft Machine, 1961, the work in this exhibition explores the human body under siege, rituals and institutions of control. Through paintings, cutouts, experimental music and live performance, Piotrowski builds up and dissolves patterns to address and expose constructed exteriors.
