Overview

Bathing Beauties is a touring exhibition in collaboration with the National Centre for Craft and Design. The exhibition evolved from a project / competition led by artist Michael Trainor, and presents over 100 selected models and one full-scale beach hut, ‘Oyster Pleasance’. Traditional seaside references are gone and replaced by structures that incorporate wind turbines, saunas, camera obscura, viewing platforms and space-age materials.
