Overview

The sixteen artists included in Origins 2019 represent some of the ambition and varied themes being explored across a new generation of artists. In particular this year a theme began to emerge, including living off the grid, of reinvestigating our relationship with nature and the landscape, of life in rural communities, of isolation and community, and how the individual survives day to day in the real world. Origins 2019 suggests that artists today are very much engaged with and concerned for the world we live in, and how we navigate pathways forward.
