Overview

For Flat Time House's autumn programme, the artist Mark Titchner has curated an uncommon show which brings together the work of two of London's most visionary artists: John Latham (1921-2006) and Austin Osman Spare (1886-1956). Both artists dedicated themselves to lifelong and idiosyncratic philosophical investigations, one through magic and the other through science. What unites them are their attempts to unite language and action through their experimentation: to create a language which would somehow embody that which it attempts to describe.
