Overview

Towner has commissioned Swiss artist Furter to make a series of sophisticated new conceptual works. Her works will form a sculptural installation filling our entire 400 sq m Exhibition Gallery. Furter has risen to the challenges of such a vast gallery space by extending her practice in new directions. The ambitious installation will include graphite drawings and ephemeral sculptural works, combining the different strands to her practice. The work will make a strong statement against Towner’s semi-industrial architecture. This is Furter’s first solo show in a UK public gallery.
