In Gallery 1, Cornerhouse are pleased to present a new collaborative work by artists Jacob Cartwright and Nick Jordan. Cairo, 2009, completes a trilogy of short films, made by the artists during two expeditions along the Mississippi and Ohio rivers, that connects and contrasts intrepid stories of Frontier America from 19th Century artist and ornithologist John James Audubon, with their present day locations. Alongside this fi lm, Cartwright & Jordan will present a series of drawings, found objects and other ephemera relating to Audubon and Cairo. This exhibition is accompanied by a new publication 'The Audubon Trilogy: Delineations of American Scenery & Manners.'
