Overview

Petals and Claws is an exhibition which celebrates the 50th anniversary of Cheshire writer Alan Garner’s The Owl Service, a children’s classic, based on the story of Blodeuwedd, a woman turned into an owl in the medieval Welsh story cycle The Mabinogion. The participating artists are: Liz Ellis (sculpture), Jenny Ryrie (painting), David Heke (photography and video), Chris Tally Evans (music/soundscape), Bettina Langlois (fine art upholstery), Anna Wigley (poetry and prose).
