Stephen Friedman Gallery is pleased to present 'Manuel Espinosa', the important late Argentinian artist’s first European solo show. The exhibition, across both gallery spaces, features a group of Espinosa's vibrant abstract paintings from 1968-1970 as well as works on paper from his most prolific period of experimentation and creative production in Concrete Art; the 1960s to the 1980s. This presentation, following the artist's major 2013 retrospective at Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Buenos Aires, is an introduction to one of South America’s most passionate and innovative painters who embraced variation as a true method of exploring and understanding form.
