Land – the benign Stage Set where cultural, economic and political boundaries are continuously shifting – references to “land” invariably accompanies war yet suggests freedom. Groeners ink drawings typically contain 30,000+ repeated, minuscule lines and dots. Rubicon Gallery will host an artists' conversation at the gallery on Saturday 22nd October at 11am; Anita Groener will discuss her exhibition Land, with Dr. Ed Krcma. Ed Krcma currently lectures at the History of Art Department of University College Cork. He is the founding editor of Enclave Review, a contemporary arts review sheet based in Cork.
