Working from the surroundings immediate to his home in Newlyn, Cook's paintings are key inheritors of the British landscape tradition, with a powerful expressionism deeply rooted in the psychology of self. Alongside these large oil on canvas paintings, the exhibition will present a selection of the sketchbooks central to his practice.
