Overview

artSOUTH has developed from the ambition of several contemporary art venues in the Hampshire area, in partnership with Hampshire County Council, to enable people in the county to experience high quality visual art in a variety of distinctive settings. Programmed in association with artSOUTH, John Hansard Gallery will be hosting a solo show of Mel Brimfield from 7 September – 2 November 2013. This collaboration will result in a live theatrical performance celebrating the rich histories of music hall and variety in the region. Performances will be shown on the SS Shieldhall in Southampton Docks, and other venues in Winchester and Portsmouth throughout the exhibition period.
