Kadie Salmon

Kadie Salmon (b. 1986) is a Scottish artist based in London. Salmon works with analogue film and traditional techniques to create hand painted photography, moving image and sculpture. Salmon has an MFA in Sculpture (2007-2009) and has been exhibiting internationally for over a decade. In recent years she has received support from award bodies including The Henry Moore Foundation (2016), Arts Council England (2019), Freelands Foundation (2020), a-n bursaries (2021 & 2022), and been artist in residence at LKV, Trondheim, Norway (2016), The Florence Trust, London (2016-2017), Can Serrat, Barcelona (2018), LCN, London (2019-2020) Artexte, Montreal (2021). Salmon had her most recent solo show with New Art Projects at SPRING/BREAK Art Show, New York (2020). Upcoming exhibitions include Light’s Trace, APT gallery, London (2022), Kadie Salmon: Hunting Razorbills, New Art Projects (2023). In 2021, Salmon collaborated with South African-Canadian poet Klara du Plessis on their artist book Incipit, Explicit, Scree which will be exhibited at Artexte, Montreal (2023), they will also be launching their collaborative chapbook Skin and Meat Sky with Knife Fork Book in August 2022.
