Kay Roberts was a 1998 Churchill Fellow in the USA, researching the effects of new technology on art information & art archives. This followed an MA Interactive Multimedia (RCA/LCP), a departure from many years spent being involved with art galleries in London. Whilst at Coracle Press she started publishing new exhibitions of contemporary art as a reaction against the geographical hierarchy at that time in the gallery world - the aim being to encourage the gallery going public to visit venues outside central London. Of course this is no longer necessary so the current aims are to help the artist run spaces gain an audience & help the audience organise a route thru the present complex contemporary art scene
