Known for identifying rising talent early, Ellis' previous selections from final shows include Jennifer Allen, David Blandy, Oliver Clegg, Simon Cunningham, Tim Ellis, Tessa Farmer, Sam Jackson, Monica Ursina Jäger, Annie Kevans, Peter Jacob Maltz, Sarah McGinity, Margaret O’Brien and Douglas White.
